Cleethorpes, a marvellous seaside town

Before term started, a small group of us decided to travel from Sheffield to Cleethorpes, a seaside town in Lincolnshire. Technically, Cleethorpes is on an estuary, for the Humber, as a I learned that day. It is surprisingly cheap to travel to Cleethorpes from Sheffield, and a few of us fancied going and seeing what was there.

I wore wellies so could walk down to the tide, which was completely out when we first arrived but came in surprisingly quickly. Some of us sat and watched the tide come in while the others went and found a bathroom.
We spent a lot of time in the arcade that day and (rather excitingly) found a DDR machine, as well as some car racing games and a piano key game which they have in an arcade in Sheffield.
We didn't have particularly high expectations, but it was a really lovely day, even if I was absolutely exhausted the day after (which was the day term started).
